The story of us

Two years ago this Sunday, the 25th of May, at 4:00 pm I married my forever person.  We have known each other since high school, his mom was one of my favorite teacher's in school, and through strange circumstances and fate we re met again almost 4 years ago and as the saying go, never looked back.  We had both come out of long term marriages with kids and were hesitant to start again.  I had resigned myself to living the rest of my life out as a single mom and was ok with that.  I learned I would rather be alone then be with the wrong person.  Plus, I had 2 amazing kids and it would be hard to find someone I would want in their lives as well as mine.  On that beautiful July day on Lake Ouachita it was love(lust) at first sight.  I knew he was joining us on the lake with his kids, I had Ellie with me, and thought, fun.  I remember him from high school and he was friends with my brother.  We got to the lake and ended up having to pick them up because the battery on their boat was dead and needed charging.  Well, when I saw him, my heart literally skipped a beat.  I have never had that happen to me.  I don't know what it was about him, sure he was super cute and sexy, but there was something else about him.  When we said hi to each other,  I felt the electricity.  I swear to you I am not making this up.  I kinda shrugged all this off and thought maybe I was just lonely.  We then started to talk and I definitely was feeling the spark.  We had a fabulous day playing with all the kids and then waved goodbye.  We then became facebook friends.  Sending inbox messages and chatting.  He was so funny.  We found out we were going through similar situations and had so many things in common.  One night while sitting at home I received a phone call.  It was from a number I did not recognize, but I answered it anyway.  He said hello and I said who is this?  And he answered Mark, Mark Francis and I was so surprised.  I asked him how he got my number and he said don't worry about it.  Well we ended up talking for a couple of hours and I swear I was smiling the whole time.  After a week or so we talked about going out, but wanted to make sure we were both ready.  He made plans, but I backed out.  I made plans, but he backed out.  Finally, on September 20th, we went out on our first date.  It was fantastic.  We went to the Pantry, ate yummy food and watched Monday night football.  We told each other we just wanted to be casual and not get serious.  Well, a month or so later, I was asked out by someone else.  I told Mark about it and he said I do not want you to go out with anyone else but me.  I agreed and we have been inseparable ever since.  I love him dearly and am so glad he is in my life as well as my kids.  He is my love, my best friend, my rock, my lover, and my soul mate.  He took the broken part of me and made it whole.  I love you, sweetheart!  Happy early Anniversary!

Hugs!!!!!
