Love is in the air

Happy hump day!  I am not overly happy today because someone turned off the damn heater outside! Cat, I am coming to get you in an inside facility this time so I won't shiver.  If you saw my facebook post last night you would understand this, if not, go catch up.  It's pretty funny.

I normally do not engage in controversial topics because I can't stand when people tell me I am wrong in how I think.  I have reasons  why I think the way I do and I do not need you to berate me about it.  You are not going to change my mind on facebook, twitter, blog posting,  or whatever social media you engage yourself in.  So, stop.  You can have a different opinion than I do, of course, but be nice about it.  So here goes.  Arkansas, as of Monday, has made gay marriage legal.  Honestly, love is love.  Regardless of who it is between.  If you love someone, go get married.  Why it was illegal in the first place I am not really sure.  People do have some old fashioned beliefs, as do I, and I guess they feel the need to fight for it.  I am pretty passionate about some things that I would most assuredly take a stand on, so I guess those people have the right to boycott what they think is wrong.  I am very happy we made it legal, though.  I would be crushed if someone told me I could not have married my Mark.  Someone did suggest strongly that we live together first in case it did not work out.   Seriously, that cracks me up.  I love my Mark and he loves me, why would I not want to marry him.  We wanted to share our lives together, forever.  We wanted to make it legal and show our forever commitment to each other.  Why shouldn't everyone be given that chance. So, for all the Arkansans who were and are marrying this week, Congratulations!!!!

I am so sleepy today.  I got plenty of sleep last night, so what is up???  I fell asleep at 9:00 last night which is completely odd for me.  Hubby and I are usually up until 11:00 or so every night, but we were seriously snoring at 9:15 last night.  We kissed and hugged the kiddos last night(yes, I still do that even though they are teens) shut the lights out and crashed.  I don't think I budged until I felt hubby snuggle up against me this morning.  The animals have a schedule and even though we are sleeping they sometimes do not get the message.  Luckily, hubby has this job.  He can usually get up, let them out and then fall back asleep within seconds.  Me, I would get up and then not be able to fall back asleep.  Very annoying.  I am about to break out the caffeinated coffee to help me wake up!  I normally drink decaf, but I think I need some help this morning.  Maybe, I'll bring out the diet coke instead.  Or maybe I will just go home at lunch and take a nap and see if that helps.  Or maybe I will just go home.  Ahhhhh....that sounds like the best idea of all.

Senior take over day is Thursday at Catholic High School.  This means that as of Thursday I will officially have a Senior in high school.  Yikes!  I will be a weepy mess on Thursday, so waterproof mascara is a must for tomorrow.

Enjoy the rain and for you crazies out there, enjoy the cooler temperatures.  I hope it won't last!

Hugs!
