Yippee! It is Friday. What a week! Busy at work, busy at life....ready for a nice and relaxing Saturday and Sunday. Tonight, princess has her dance recital at school. She is in two dances this year because she made dance ensemble. The teacher hand picks these kids and they get to travel and do extra dances. It has been very cool because I have had the privilege of seeing her dance many times this year. She is absolutely beautiful and graceful. The opposite of me. I have no grace. I am constantly tripping and bumping into things. Luckily I have so much practice I rarely fall. Anyway, she performs at 7:00 tonight and I can hardly wait. Her recital outfit is beautiful!!! She was also chosen to be a member of the National Honor Society this week. So she will be busy next year! Cheerleader, Beta Club, NHS, student council, soccer player, dance ensemble, phew!!! But, good for her. She likes to be involved.
I hope everyone who can will come out to the Greek Food Festival. This is the 30 year anniversary. Wow! I remember dancing at the first. Kinda makes me feel old, but not. I still feel 20 even though my mirror says different. Hope you can make it out. The food is awesome and the entertainment is terrific. It runs tonight, Saturday and Sunday. That is about the only plan I have for this weekend, thank goodness. Our weeks and weekends have been so busy it will be nice to have a break.
So yesterday I had lunch with my new beautiful blonde bff, AM. She is awesome. I met her through one of my ya ya's and we just hit it off. She is funny, smart, beautiful, and inspiring. She was training to run her first 5K with WRA through Saline County and pulled it off in spades. She also works out at a gym in Benton and I am threatening to join her for the 1k calorie burn class on Tuesday nights. I think I would get my tail whopped, but hey, once for the story, as my hubby always says. Speaking of first things, hubby and I bowled in our first ever bowling tournament on Wednesday night. We have great friends who are home brewers, remember my awesome foam fest experience?, well this was a craft brew/home brewers tournament. What a blast! Met some wonderful people, drank fabulous beer and got to hang out with two of my favorite people in the world. I will admit, I kinda suck at bowling, so no prizes were won, but that was not really the point. I am not a competitive person. I just like to go out and have fun. That is the point of life, right???
Speaking of fun and life and such, our 2 year wedding anniversary is next Sunday. I know! Can you believe it?? Life is flying by. Anyway, we have decided to renew our vows. We have had some things come up over the last two years that could have split us apart, but each time we decided our marriage was worth the aggravation brought out by others and we want to celebrate it. We "re met" on Lake Ouachita through mutual friends and we decided to renew our vows on the boat at the very same place we found each other again. Luckily, our boat captain has license to do this, so it will be awesome. I am even thinking of wearing a white bikini. But maybe not, because no one wants a see through swimsuit, so who knows. I am very much looking forward to this as I absolutely adore and love my hubby and I am just as excited to marry him again as I was the first time.
It is going to be a fabulous weekend, so I hope you have some fabulous plans. My tip today? Do not overindulge. Too much of a good thing, is not always a good thing. Stop at just the cheeseburger, do you need the fries? Have a handful of m & m's instead of a whole bag. Make good choices and they will be good to you.
Hugs!!!!
