Good Morning! It's hump day. Take that literally or not. I don't care, but hopefully you do.
Last night hubby and I went to the Michael Jackson Cirque show prepared to be amazed. Well, we were not. It was underwhelming and reminded me of a school performance. Now, don't get me wrong, some of the acrobatics were very impressive, but overall, I am glad the tickets were free because it was not worth the $90 each they sold for. The show did feature a performer with one leg and he did some spectacular things on crutches and by himself. And there was another performer who could turn herself into a ball backward, but other than that, no thanks. We did have a Young's Double Chocolate Stout with a Whiskey chaser before the show at Creegan's and that was yummy. Try one, you will thank yourself after. The Irish Nachos looked amazing, but I am really trying to watch what I eat, so I turned it down. We did split a Jimmy John's small sub sandwich after the show. I love their sandwiches. Go try one. We have one downtown and new one just opened in West Little Rock. They are fresh, tasty and the staff is always friendly.
Let's talk about selfies for a moment. Take one. Embrace the selfie. I don't care if it is in your bathroom or in your convertible, solo, or with a buddy. Do it and have fun with it! I have a teen daughter and teen sons and they are selfie takers, although the princess definitely wins on the volume side. With all the hype about body image and how "perfect" you should strive to be according to what the magazines show us, I am glad our teens and adults have the self confidence to post pictures of themselves for all to see. So, let me see your selfie!
Moving on to the tip of the day. Embrace yourself and love yourself. Don't like what you look like? Change it. You have the power to do so. Just make sure you are doing it for yourself and not anyone else. Do not let anyone have that kind of power over you. This applies to our mental health as well. You cannot change anyone but you. People are not going to quit hating or being jealous. You need to forgive them and move on. They are not worth your time.
Have a fabulous Wednesday. It is gorgeous outside!!!
